It is with great sadness that I am to inform everyone that Ruins of Earth are splitting up. We have had some amazing times in this band and been blessed with the opportunity to travel the UK and meet/play with some amazing people, making many dear friends along the way.

We began to find it impossible to write/practice as a band and feel that we have reached our peak and that it is time to call it a day.

I would like to personally thank EVERYONE who has been a part of this journey, people who’ve put us on, picked up some merch or a CD, given us places to stay, endorsed us, reviewed us, headbanged and sang along at a show, told your friends about us or even just posted about us online, it all meant the world to me.

We have pulled out of our London show with Becoming The Archetype and Chapters but we WILL be finishing and releasing the 2 tracks we were working on for our album and we WILL be playing two all-dayers at the end of November, one in Southampton and one in Reading, if you are form those areas please come along!

I am going to book a small run of shows at the end of the year to send off Ruins of Earth  with a bang so please let us know where you would like to see us play and if you are interested in booking us drop an email to ruinsofearth@hotmail.co.uk

Above I have shared a history of the band with pictures taken over a 3 year span of some fond memories we had. I am so proud of everything that I have done/achieved with this band and I would like to thank my band mates for giving me this opportunity, being my best friends and sharing it all with me.

A big thank you to our family, friends and girl friends for all of their love and support, it hasn’t gone un-noticed.

A special thank you to my ‘brother’ Alan Clarkson for everything he has done for me and this band, I can’t even put in to words how much I appreciate it. He is a true talent, check him out here.

We will keep everyone updated on our final shows, the tracks we are releasing and the musical endeavors of our members.

Here is a video of what we have been up to in the studio while recording drums and rhythm guitars for 2 album pre production tracks. 

This was supposed to be a high quality video but due to format issues and much converting alot of the footage was dramatically lowered, it’s a bit of fun though so we hope you enjoy it.

So we are taking the next couple of months out to begin writing and recording some demos for our debut album. We are taking bookings from November onwards when we will be back with a new set, new merch, new photos and we will also release a couple of the new demo tracks for you to hear. been busy today sorting new promos for Ruins Of Earth.

So today we have a tonne of wicked news for you!

Firstly we are thrilled to announce that old friend Brian Turner is the new Ruins of Earth frontman! His first show is at The Star in Guildford on the 25/06/2011, if you would like to come we have tickets for £3, give us a shout if you want one.

A bit of info on the video…

We only decided to shoot the video on the day before and all footage was shot in 2 and a half hours (in our friends living room) and edited in one long day. We had tones of fun and we really hope you enjoy this cheeky promo video!

Our drummer Brooker has just been endorsed by Vater Percussion! Check them out HERE they make the best sticks going.

In the coming weeks we are to be featured in the Sonisphere special of Terrorizor magazine in an article on the future of Thrash Metal. An Unreal Entity will be on the cover mount CD as well as a band feature inside. Please check that out if you can!

We are getting some brand new merch soon (designs to come) so we are having a big sale on our Big Cartel so head over there and grab a T shirt or EP, stocks are low and they wont be replenished.
